I don't even stan for any of the main pop divas ATRL obsesses over. I feel like there should be at least one mod like that for some balance, along with other reasons.

I'd love Lee!! to get his Mod abilities back, he was the only country Stan and was a great addition. Sad he left.

EDIT: There are types of music other than pop. They should hire mods that are a fan of other genres.

I'm curious to know what that "smash" was that she wrote and who the writers were, I also want to know if she wrote any songs by herself this era.

No new songs are appearing on BMI/ASCAP yet, it's weird because she's writing about how she's close to deciding a lead single but there seems to be no direction of where the albums going. At this point last era we already had a long list of songs she wrote along with songs like "Leave Love Alone" and "Thank God for Hometowns" already leaking.

I remember the meltdowns after those two demos surfaced, people were freaking out.

I suspect they maybe keeping them off BMI/ASCAP for a bit. Carrie fans are known for finding demo's of the songs so they may want to keep this album under wraps as long as possible. We will likely start seeing songs start popping up in the next month or so on the sites.

I'm just wondering what direction this album is going to be. I don't think she's going to aim for a darker direction like Blown Away. I'd love it if album number five was more like "Carnival Ride". It just seemed the overall lyricism and theme of "Carnival Ride" was more happy and revolved around real world problems where a lot of "Blown Away' seemed to deal with heart break, nonetheless still a terrific album. I'd also love for this album to have less pop appeal to it seeing songs like: "Jesus, Take the Wheel", "Temporary Home" and "Wine After Whiskey" are were her voice shines. Also she doesn't take advantage of the pop songs she does record so why waste album space when she can include more traditional stuff?

That's probably inevitable her label probably thinks "Hmm, gotta release something that'll be less artistic than Miranda's lead single but still catchy enough to sell. That's it, Good Girl 2.0!"

I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember hearing Carrie talking in a red carpet interview a few months back and when asked about the next album or "era" what will fans be hearing? She said that she wanted something more simple. I'm hoping this means that we get to hear a raw, stripped down album that capitalizes on her amazing voice when it isn't a part of huge production like every single she released the Blown Away Era.

I want to hear some stuff almost like the So Small PS22 Chorus recording on youtube. Her voice sounded so rich and powerful, yet light and fluid. That's what I've been waiting for!

I think she meant that about her next tour.

She stated she wanted it just to be about the music with no gimmicks. Just a huge stage that's simple with the feeling of an old 80s rock concert. She also stated maybe later on her career that she'd like to do more intimate venues where she can really connect with her fans.

Those fans in Ireland, that's as intimate as it gets for a concert with a superstar.
