The detailed updates (the ones that said how much a song got in each format) should come anytime soon. The full updates on the other hand have been delayed lately, so I don't know.

This happens for songs from breaking artists. They take cues from each other (big stations from smaller, smaller from bigger)

Of course y'all hopeful dreamers took this to mean GUY would take off on secondary markets first.

It's not happening on any sized station so it's moot anyways. Nick or some of you others will argue it's too early to tell but most of us know the ship has sailed.

It was drip drip drip. Obviously the BTW singles were hits. But slowly the negative image creeped into public consciousness and here we are now. This was not an overnight thing.

She needs an image overhaul perhaps...but I don't think the public completely hates her music.

What's funny is the GP loves BTW the music, they didn't care for the execution of it. BTW didn't hurt her IMO, I just think it was too far left from what they are accompanied to. Hence the two albums before it. It all went left when Judas happened. However, TEOG and Y&I pulled them back in.

Well of course haters are gonna attribute it to her music. For me, applause and DWUW were up to par with previous hits. But they underperformed the BTW singles because of her image.

That wasn't what you asked though. You asked whether or not a song needed 30AI before the big stations would play it. The answer to that would be a no, but they do sometimes take their cues from smaller stations playlists. Mostly with "unkwown" or artists who haven't had a breakout era yet...

The only reason why BTW the song and album did well, was because Gaga was coming off from a huge era and was hyped like never seen before, BUT the era did damage her beyond repair apparently.

Keep in mind that Gaga used to get almost all her singles to #1 on Pop, and now can't even get a radio friendly song played. I'll blame the horns and dark videos she has been serving for 4 years !

To deny the negative effects of BTW the single and Judas and to overinflate the impact of TEOG and Y&I is to ignore her absolute perfect branding in the TF/TFM era.

I think I'm one of the only people who feel she doesn't need to go away and an image overhaul is needed. She was away long enough and her shows are selling out and getting amazing reviews. The music is not bad, it's the execution. Bobby is cleaning house and doing everything correctly. I think everyone just needs to relax and wait for it all to come full circle.

That's true. Very interesting. She may have went a bit too far with some things image-wise during the BTW era for sure but I was glad to see people actually loved BTW (song) itself.

Just like Gimme More by Britney got bad scores and surely only because she was a mess at the time cuz that song slays. Anyway, I wonder what it would take to get the public back on her side. I almost don't know what's worse...them hating her music or her image. I mean it's sad to think people hate her as a person. But at least I know they don't think she's putting out bad music. Hopefully the tide turns eventually. The media/public can't beat up on one person forever.

I'm not sure if that's the case but I do that video was unnecessarily dark so I wouldn't be surprised. I just feel like that video doesn't fit the song at all. And unpopular opinion I suppose but it's actually my least favorite video of hers eva (well after TEOG of course).
