It's not a good idea for her to work with more than four producers at a time in my opinion. Too many cooks in the kitchen. She already has a knack for making some songs that have way too much going on to begin with. Having more than four producers would risk the album sound being less cohesive and put together. That's just what I feel though. I think the producers she work with need to just deliver quality, but she also needs to deliver too or it wont work.

Funny because I think thats what is holding her back.... the fact her DJWS produce and write everything together is what makes it a mess.

He seems to drown out a lot of the life from her studio productions using a lot of EQ/compression and stuff.

Actually I think a big problem is that he produced TOO much of the album, the other producers don't really have enough effort into the album to level it out.

I do think she should do something more trancey/dream pop-ish and mix it up with some rockish tinge or something, or even a soul vibe. Just something DIFFERENT. There's so many different forms of electronic music, and she seems to stay within the realm of dance pop/ electro house. People are tired of that sound right about now.

Ariel Rechtshaid. Responsible for many of the best releases over the past few years (Days Are Gone, Modern Vampires of the City, "Climax"), he's got great pop sensibilities. He and Dev Hynes are running the new breed of pop.

The only good songs on ARTPOP are Fashion!, Applause & DWUW. The Hearst Castle portion of the G.U.Y. music video should have been used for the DWUW music video.
