Then maybe you need to find another forum that fits your "expressive" needs, because there's a stark difference between something being against the norm and being just plain violating. And this just isn't happening in threads about sexual topics, it's happening in threads that have NOTHING to do with sex at all.
This is a music forum and this kind of content is not what I and many other members signed up for, and the younger members especially don't need to be exposed to that.
And like I said, even if sexual topics come up, ATRL can NOT discuss them maturely, and instead it snowballs into a sexually harassing and grotesque disaster.

Wait, what? I'm not even talking about sexual topics alone.  As I scroll though "The Lounge", I see a ton of locked threads that are about topics that have nothing to do with sex.
I use the term "expressive" to describe a range of topics. I've just noticed how suppressive it can be at times over trivial things.
This is a music forum, you're correct. This music forum also has a "General Discussion" section. So, what's the point of having one if members can't have "general discussion"?

Because boundaries have to bet set to maintain a degree of integrity to the site's repuation.
You don't own the site, you're not the administstrator, and I'm sure you probably don't contribute any money to it either, so you don't really have any place to be demanding "rights".
"General Discussion" doesn't mean discuss any topic you want. Maybe you need to go back and read the rules you probably skipped over when you first registered, niece.

I think some of you are still missing the point. ATRL has always been more than just a music forum, but that's not an excuse to turn into a ****ographic website.
I'm not going to go on about this any further because obviously the moderators agree, otherwise they wouldn't be closing and deleting these threads.

I'm not one to complain about WPs but 3 points for a slightly misleading thread title to entice viewers in to engage in a serious discussion about the consumption of taboo meats seems a biT extreme. Especially when the animal in question is frequently referred to as said word in title ATRL is a joke

You sound upset. For what reason, I don't know. 
I'm not talking about having a sex party all over the site. What do you think I'm talking about?
I know very well that I don't own the site. I'm just offering suggestions to broaden both the experience of the site and the user base. That suggestion is to simply loosen the strings a tad. I don't understand why that's something to get so defensive about. I'm not demanding anything. I can go right back to posting and be perfectly fine.
"General Discussion" means to have discussion about general topics, which many of the threads get locked for no reason or a trivial one at best.

You just made the point that you felt that sexual discussions should be allowed. Do I need to quote you to remember your own words? I was responding to you explaining as to why it's ridiculous idea because ATRL has tried to cater to the older audience of ATRL by allowing a thread called "Dirty Talk" a few years ago, and it didn't work.
And that's the end of it.

 I got a point for calling an really skinny tiger a "Twink Tiger" and I didn't mean it in an insensitive way, he is just really skinny and that Zoo is doing horrible things to their animals, may I have that reversed please, my post was deleted as well.

I do feel that sexual discussions should be allowed. For God's sake, even news sites allow sexual discussions. It's not anything that would damage the reputation or integrity of the site. That's one of the many elements that I used as an example, and I stand by that. I also listed other things besides that, so it's not solely about sex. Again, I'm not talking about blatant ****ography on the board.  I wouldn't want that either.
My whole point is that ATRL takes itself too seriously and I feel like it kinds of dampens the experience of the site. Not even MTV, which the site was originally based on, is this censored. I still like it here, either way. It was just something I noticed and wanted to speak on.
