Fat people aren't an ethnic group though ...

Here's the reason why it's not racist.
Much of what you find attractive is completely biological. Nobody 'chooses' to have a crush on someone. When you're attracted to someone, it's because they possess features that you naturally find attractive.
Therefore, if someone is not attracted to a certain hair or skin color, they are not discriminatory because it is their natural preference.
It's not the smartest idea to make a blanket statement about an entire race, BUT I will say that I have never seen a black girl I am attracted to in my life.
Does that make me racist? I think not.

I agree that what you are attracted to is not a choice, but that doesn't mean it's not racist. Racism is not always intentional. In fact, in today's society it usually isn't. Racism is an institution and racist attitudes have been internalized in our mindset, hense the phrase "everyone is racist".

It's called preference. You can't FORCE yourself to be attracted to a certain race if you don't really like how they look.
The only thing that will be racist is treating people of different races different with how you treat your own.
Attraction is a different thing.

For your first point, see my paragraph above.
Second, wouldn't using your definition of racism mean not finding black attractive is racist? Because that's treating an entire group of people differently.
