I dunno. I don't think it's at Thriller status. It's certainly something that only happens around once a decade. I don't think it's significantly bigger than Jagged Little Pill, Come On Over, etc. So I agree with him--it's an outlier and the rule shouldn't be applied.

It's definitely bigger than those albums (not talking legacy wise considering it's only been out for 3 years). Did those albums have one #1 hit? 21 had 3 and they were the only singles that were given the proper treatment, and without much live promo. You guys need to stop underestimating Adele, she is greatness personified and I don't give a rat about her.
