What? Do you mean it's definitely more successful than the ones from the past decades?
I dunno. I don't think it's at Thriller status. It's certainly something that only happens around once a decade. I don't think it's significantly bigger than Jagged Little Pill, Come On Over, etc. So I agree with him--it's an outlier and the rule shouldn't be applied.
