"Even though she is approaching her 30s, she’s still young at heart" - And at looks! Anyway! I did enjoy your essay and the song choice (eventhough I dislike this song)! I think you are right and you made total sense. Avril has always been a little rebel and I think that will always be one of her signature things. As for the growing up part in the song, she really doesn't want to! She wants to live her life the way she wants! Great job!
2. Regina George - One Direction - Midnight Memories: 5/10
I like how you make up stories to your essays, it's pretty interesting but I don't feel like they are rebelling exactly against Simon Cowell and that took way truthful from your job. I feel like that was just your interpretation instead of going after something real. The song is kinda bad too.
3. Gatsby - Ashlee Simpson - Autobiography: 10/10
After some ok entries, you're back! Let me say I didn't know the story behind the song, I never really liked Ashlee Simpson, her songs are cool but for me Jessica is THE Simpson sister. I am glad she realized, it wasn't Jessica's 'fault' and saw the light. Your essay and your entry overall were great!
4. collin - Madonna - American Life: 10/10
You slayed everyone.
5. igor - Britney Spears - Britney Jean: 9/10
Well and if you want to succeed in this game you also have to work, work! I loved your essay, I like how you have that power to keep things effective and simple!
6. Chill Bill - Gotye - Making Mirrors: 10/10
I love your knowledge about the albums you represent. I loved your essay way too much! By far the best of the round along with Collin's!
7. sumthintoxic82 - Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes: 8/10
That's sweet! I enjoyed your essay and song but I didn't love your entry as much as some others! Nevertheless, it is still a great entry!
8. Penk - Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady: 8,5/10
For once, I am not impressed with your entry. Don't get me wrong! It is good, obviously! But just like I said to sumthintoxic, I've seen better this round! I liked, however, how you talked about a bunch of things and came to the conclusion of the song, it made the essay worth reading!
9. Jake. - Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape: 3/10
Oh Well! You win some, you lose others. Your essay was really mediocre and the worse this round, you could've tried to explain it better. I like the song!

I was sure this would be your choice this round. I hoped you would win me over by selling this song and convincing me it's not what I think it is - which is just her doing the same stuff she always does. Not sure I'm convinced after your essay, since you pretty much owned up that she's 30 and still singing about the same stuff she started with. The song does fit the theme well, I just found the explanation kind of flat.
7/10
2. Regina George - One Direction - Midnight Memories: Midnight Memories
Naughty and out of control? Not so much. This song still seems pretty tame, and sure they are singing about partying, but this isn't as heavy as you're trying to make it sound. Maybe the world's most vanilla party? This is like they're inching over the "rebellious" line, not jumping right into it.
6/10
3. Gatsby - Ashlee Simpson - Autobiography: Shadow
Hmmm, your essay was more convincing than I expected. As it's been with Ashlee, I don't love the song itself, but I do think you provided some really strong reasoning on how this song fits the theme.
7/10
4. collin - Madonna - American Life: American Life
Totally rebellious. I remember when the video came out and had to be re-recorded and tamed down. Solid entry.
9.5/10
5. igor - Britney Spears - Britney Jean: Work Bitch
Work Bitch rebelling against laziness? I just can't.
2/10
6. Chill Bill - Gotye - Making Mirrors: State Of The Art
I see the whole message about technology and all, but not clearly how this song is rebellious. Great right up though, it's just not hitting the nail on the head.
8/10
7. sumthintoxic82 - Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes: Take a Bite
Oh, interesting. This song is a strong fit for the round. I don't know much about Nicola so it was neat to see how this song is really bold and outspoken for her. In terms of the song itself, this is finally something from her that sounds interesting from her - up until know it's been pretty generic. I liked the instrumental, I want to hear MIA sing it.
7/10
8. Penk - Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady: Q.U.E.E.N. (feat. Erykah Badu)
THIS IS A JAM.
10/10
9. Jake. - Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape: Don't Get It Twisted
Not so much...
I think you know this wasn't your round, so I don't need to sit here and tell you that.

Perfect choice. Perfect explanation and you quoted the correct parts to support it. Great job.
10/10
2. Regina George - Midnight Memories
You nailed the song and explanation. Only thing is that you needed to quote a specific lyric that really shows the anger part of it.
8/10
3. Gatsby- Autobiography
Wow, it must've been really hard being her in this situation. You really brought out the frustration and anger in your essay, kudos.
10/10
4. collin - American Life
Perfect. You really had it easy this round.
10/10
5. Igor - Britney Jean
I'm gonna call this one a bit of a reach. A lot of it sounds more bragging than showing her being against laziness.
5.5/10
6. Gotye - Making Mirrors
Really liking this one. Your writing style makes this story almost haunting.
9/10
7. sumthintoxic82 - Cinderella's Eyes
Can definitely feel the frustration here which is totally justified given her media criticism. Great job.
10/10
8. Penk - The Electric Lady
I have no words. There's so much to this song and you really brought that anger and rebellious emotion out with your essay.
10/10
9. Jake. - The Sweet Escape
Not feeling this one. The reach is too much for me to get a real rebellious or angry tone out of it.
4/10

PERFECT CHOICE!!! This song is one of the most rebellious songs out there and for this album, you picked the right choice. Kudos.
Point: 10/10
2. Regina George - One Direction - Midnight Memories: Midnight Memories
Beautiful approach. I like how you compare the song to their image and where they are now. Ya, the song in itself is also very rebellious. Great choice.
Point: 9/10
3. Gatsby - Ashlee Simpson - Autobiography: Shadow
SPOT ON!! Hearing the song initially, I didn't feel this was a good choice but after reading your essay and listening to the song again, it makes soo much sense. Beautiful choice
Point: 10/10
4. collin - Madonna - American Life: American Life
Interesting. I like your essay. You explain everything really well. It's a very good song, and ya, you did a nice job.
Point: 9/10
5. igor - Britney Spears - Britney Jean: Work Bitch
You know the point of this song is actually really clear and obvious, but until seeing it black and white, I just never bothered to get what it was about. Your essay really explains the song perfectly and in a new light. That is very good work. I love your approach, and honestly, seeing Work Bitch, the first time while scrolling, I was like nahh, but after reading your essay, you did a very amazing job. Nice work.
Point: 10/10
6. Chill Bill - Gotye - Making Mirrors: State Of The Art
OH MA GAD! That was a really deep way to look at that. Honestly, on hearing the song, I didn't like it but after reading the essay and seeing the explanation, it makes a lot of sense. i really do like the creativity. It's really good work.
Point: 9/10
7. sumthintoxic82 - Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes: Take a Bite
A really good choice considering the album you're playing with. Nicola sounds badass by the way. Hearing this song, and then seeing you're essay, I see that you put a lot of thought and effort into this. That's amazing work. Kudos.
Point: 9/10
8. Penk - Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady: Q.U.E.E.N. (feat. Erykah Badu)
PREAACHHH!!!! You know, I've always had this song on my phone but until today, I've not really listened to the words. So much truth in one song. The song is definitely one hell of a rebellious one. I just love it so much.
Point: 10/10
9. Jake. - Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape: Don't Get It Twisted
First, I understand your point of there being not many rebellious songs on this record, however, that is why this game is created. To test each album on a variety of topics. Saying that Gwen is rebelling against pregnancy is a FAARRR REEEAAAACHHHHH. However, you did your best.
Point: 6/10

Choose The Album, Then a Song 5: The Final Results
LADIES & GENTLEMAN... CHOOSE THE ALBUM, THEN A SONG IS BACK!
Welcome to the last part of the results show.
As you know, we're about to know the contestants that are leaving us but first, let me clarify you about how we came to these results.
The public vote counts 50% and the judges votes other 50%. They are mixed in points and then added, pretty simple! When, counting the public vote, if there's a tie, the way I have to untie it is by the 'save votes', whoever got more save votes, gets ahead; in case it's impossible to untie, I'll just go by the person that got the FIRST save.
As for the judges votes, whenever there's a tie, the method is to go back to the public votes and see who did better. If there's a tie in the FINAL results, then, whoever did better within the judges gets ahead. Here's the points distribution:
1. 60 Points 6. 32 Points
2. 50 Points 7. 29 Points
3. 45 Points 8. 26 Points
4. 38 Points 9. 23 Points
5. 35 Points
This time around, I won't be creating that complex table with all the points, you have access to them (in the past posts) and you have access to the points distribution so I'll be just presenting the final results!

I liked both of you very much and thought you did a fantastic job with your song choices and essays! You should be proud to have made it this far!

Thanks Pedro and VDK for the high rates
It was a tough round for me since Britney Jean doesn't have a proper rebellion song, Work Bitch is what comes close to that the most.
Well, I'll have to WORK and do better next round, I want to be top 5

DON'T JINX IT! Regardless, though, I probably will. I highly doubt I will go all the way. I'm lucky to have made it this far. It depends on how well I deliver my explanations and song choices and how well everyone else does. I hope to go further, though. I love this competition and it's been a privilege to take part in it. If I could go all the way, or even make the top two or three, that would be the coolest thing ever. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

Anyways, I can't believe I made it this far with One Direction.

WHY the hell did you do a double elimination during the Top 10?
Not fair to Ashlee at all who wasn't bad AT ALL this round.
You did the same **** last season to. Seriously, why do you keep letting history repeat itself?
