Dreamworks are going to force her to promote, this isn't Def Jam or Roc Nation, They might even force her to do an Oscar promotional campaign. Dreamworks typically don't give 2shits about soundtrack but considering they paid Rihanna and her team of 29832 people (which isn't cheap) compared to their typical unknown artist. Also if their calling this an "innovative musical movie event" they won't be letting Rihanna play her TTT&UA ****.
Also Rihanna worked on this for 2years, she didn't even take that long to make her UA or TTT which were about 9months to make.
I wonder if the tracks she made with Pharell in 2012 are going to be on this album...

Yeah I know, she will definitely promote this she has no choice. & I was surprised to read they been working on things behind the scenes for 2 years. Then again I remember that one pic of her in Jim from back in 2012.
Hopefully this is a sign that she will be working on R8 for over a year before she releases it.
