im new to pokemon, help!

im trying to connect my wifi to my DS so i can receive a mystery gift but its saying something about my WEP, wtf is a WEP. I type my wifi password and it says its incorrect.

A WEP is a type of security code used on some Wi-Fi wireless networks. And about your Wi-Fi password being incorrect, are you sure you're typing it correctly? If you forgot your Wi-Fi password, open the web browser that you use and type in the IP address from your router, it should direct you to a window that lets you change your WEP password.

meh, ive given up. I think ill just go out and buy a ds3 (im using dsi), I heard it isn't an issue with that one, i hope.

Another question, is it the game that saves my pokemon or the DS? Like if I take my game and put into a new DS will my pokemons show from that game? Or is it stored onto my ds?

Yeah, I had the same problem with my DS Lite, but my wifi works perfect on my 3DS.

Nintendo is shutting down their online services for DS games soon though, they're only supporting 3DS online services from then on.

But! I agree tbh. I need more Pokemon that really need Megas to get Megas. It annoys me how much Gamefreak isn't using all the options they have now to execute better player interaction or even dipped into DLC
