I don't think any of us are expecting another Starships to be on the album (are any of y'all? ) but I think everyone is expecting songs with pop blended to appeal to a wider audience and get those crossover hits that Nicki is gonna need.


I know I'm expecting a song or two like Super Bass.

Super Bass is not "too hip hop" would fit better, imo. I don't think Super Bass was very pop, because every song needs a chorus. It had an electro-RaPop beat and catchy verses, catchy chorus and the bridge at the end.
Can't Hold Us is still considered a hip hop song, even though the only thing hip hop about it are the verses.

I dont think it'll sound like SB (obviously not or she'd just be revisiting an old trend) but I think she'll have a "hip-pop" song ala Super Bass.

I don't think Nicki is doing something with pop influences on purpose, she's just making music and if it's a bit pop influenced but a good song she'll just go with the flow.

High School had some R&B/pop influences but was still a hip-hop song

She should definitively have a Can't Hold Us as the lead single.

I just hope she raps a lot, really a lot. I don't want songs like High School and Freedom. Don't get me wrong I LOOOOOOOVE those songs and those type of songs are great for the album but it contains too much singing which will result in people hearing her sing more than rap, again and giving mediocre performances where she basically lip syncs the singing

High School is amazing. It definitely shows her rapping skills. I agree about Freedom though.
