R8 just like any rihanna album except rated r will be a commercial success if given the kind of promo treatment girls like katy have.
If rih releases the right singles gives them high quality videos and perfoms them well then I don't see why the era wouldn't do well.

So yesterday my family and friends threw me a "surprise" party (yeah like I didn't see it coming).
Anyway @ some point I was dancing with my crush to Rihanna's songs and I had never felt anything like it in my entire life. I don't remember all the songs as my brain was trying to measure the ***** that was pressed upon me but lord knows how much I melted solidified and remelted again.
I'm thinking of losing my virginity to watch and learn...in fact I will lose it to her entire discography,I hope the boy has stamina.

Ju Lia you bring up a lot of good points. I think all of us appreciate Rih's intuition and artistry... she dives into music that is interesting to her and reflects her life. I would rather get a well-crafted album that she put time into than an album that chases success. We all want cohesive imagery, great videos, and legit music on R8.
I just wish that she did more to promote her music. People don't take her seriously as an artist or performer and that truly hurts her. Obviously, not everyone is going to view her the same way, but she deserves more respect from the GP. She's been in the industry nine years and has outlasted or bested almost all of her peers. I don't need the GP to memorize every aspect of her career, but she deserves to be seen as powerful and important. She doesn't deserve the false labels put upon her.
I think it's frustrating for us fans because we know what she's capable of. I think about her performances at Hackney and I wish more of the world could've seen them. I wish that the music she writes could be released to the public instead of songs like Right Now.
