The last thing Caroline needs is another love interest. She really needs to get an actual storyline.

I felt like nothing really happened. We still don't know what the Travelers are doing and we still don't know what Liv and her brother are up to - so this episode felt like a whole lot of nothing for me.

Nope. Not much of anything happened worthwhile. But I can recap it for you.

Elena had some really cheesy hallucinations, both her and Damon were cured of the Ripper virus by the end of the episode (Enzo got the cure from Sloan and delivered it). They acknowledged their toxic relationship (and that Damon killed Aaron & Wes but not that Damon tried yet again to have Jeremy killed) and then had break-up sex.

We still have no idea what the Travelers want with the doppelganger blood. But Caroline & Enzo volunteered to go kill a Silas doppelganger who is presumably human and a paramedic and living in Atlanta - even though they have no idea why the Travelers want him dead.

Liv apparently has a gay brother who appeared out of nowhere and acted like he knew Elena (so Elena just assumed Katherine had befriended him). Liv & Luke have some unknown agenda but it looks like they might be against whatever the Travelers are up to.

It baffles me that Elena freaked out at Stefan for wanting to drink blood bags to maintain his strength and she got mad but Damon admits to killing Aaron an nothing but cheesy sex like what did they do to her character

Human Season 1 Elena IMO is a completely different character than vampire Elena. The old Elena starting dying somewhere back in Season 3 (and her and Matt had that good scene on Wickery Bridge where they mourned the old Elena and acknowledged that she was now a totally different person than she used to be).

I think the problem with this show is there are a bunch of 13-year old girl who watch it and don't care about anything other than who Elena is dating. They did the PaleyFest panel tonight and the majority of questions were about if Damon/Elena were going to get back together for real, if they could take a picture with Ian, etc... Not one person asked about the actual plot of the show (what's up with the Travelers or Liv/Luke or about any of the glaring plot holes) or about any of the other characters on the show (with the exception of one person who wanted to know if Caroline was going to get with Stefan or if she was going to move to The Originals - which she's not). I think they stopped writing an actual show with a cohesive plot and character development and try to please these teenagers who only care about who's dating who - it's become all about ships and had totally lost it's way.

it think it too...anyway i still don't understand the NONSENSE about Damon trying to kill Jeremy...seriously WHY?that scene has no sense he could threaten directly Bonnie who has no more powers or matt or Caroline to make bonnie work with live or everyone else ...come on after everything happened in season 4 (he's Elena brother anyway) ,i'm trying to understand it but it has no sense!vampire diaries has become a MESS ...and i hope they will make ian change his 3 expression he can do as actor , because if it's all he can do doubt he will have a long career after VD

I agree that there's way to much focus on the ships and not enough focus on the actual storylines. The shows still entertaining but S5 is by far the worse and the most incohesive and I can't with the weekly break ups

Teen Wolf can be messy storywise, but I love that they at least introduce new monsters and stories outside of just wolves.

At least TVD manages to mostly have cohesive plots and actual character development. And the fight/special effects scenes flow into the story in a natural way rather than coming off as "OOH shiny look at this!" TVD introduces new plotlines all the time, that's the problem, they need to take one thing and run with it like they did with evil Stefan in S3.

Teen Wolf is by far the messiest show I've ever seen, it's a wonder people even take it seriously. TVD doesn't even come CLOSE.
