I like both DWT and Re-Invention...they both don't seem like "typical" concerts for her. Not that the others are bad, but those two had much variety and "coldness" that shows a side we don't often see to her.
Best thing about Madonna tours is that they're all very different, thematically and otherwise.
I like them all for different reasons, my least favourite would have to be Sticky & Sweet Tour though... it just didn't feel like Madonna, it felt more like a Jamie King production featuring Madonna.
That said, there were some great moments in S&S: Vogue, Into the Groove, La Isla Bonita... that was it for me, really. 4 Minutes is still as boring as ever and I didn't like the version of Like A Prayer she was peddling. Also, Candy Shop, though a good song, is probably her worst show opener ever, talk about a non-event!
She pretty much fixed all of that with MDNA Tour, but her MDNA song choices were ****ing abysmal. I Don't Give A and I'm A Sinner over Some Girls? Please. She also butchered Hung Up to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. Her ATTEMPT at performing I Don't Give A live suggests to me that it should've had the vocoder treatment over Hung Up, which could've done with a much better arrangement itself. MDNA Tour version reminds me of elevator music. I'm Addicted was lethargic and wasn't done justice - I have a feeling she didn't have it as the closer because it would've been "too predictable". Rest of the show was great though.
She needs to give Human Nature a rest now.
Her most consistent shows are probably Blond Ambition Tour and Confessions Tour - high quality and great pacing all throughout. I would've added Reinvention Tour, but the Mother & Father section is a bit dull and lacks the theatrics of the slower parts of Blond Ambition and Girlie Show that made them so engaging.
I would love to see her with a real live band again ala Girlie Show.
Hard Candy is an atrocious title, it should have been called Voices and had a darker and sleeker cover. Something like this, but with white petals and Voices written vertically down it.

I still think it should have been called Black Madonna.
