Just because we don't support her disappointing music (in my opinion) doesn't make us bad people. It's almost like a parent who supports their drug-addicted kids. Sometimes it's best to cut off support in order for the kid to hit rock bottom and start to be productive again.

So people shouldn't get mad at Akon when he's really just stating the obvious. If you're going to get mad at anyone, be mad at Gaga. She blamed her management for all her problems but we see now that SHE'S really the reason she's crashing. She's got nobody to blame but herself, and it's not a surprise that everyone who helped her early in her career is cashing out and moving on. She's a wreck.

Who is telling you to support her music?

Does a hatred for a pop star make people lose their human sensibilities? This isn't about her music, we are talking about the human element in this scenario, or lack thereof.

You don't have to support her music or like her as an artist, but to applaud a clearly selfish human being for using someone as a cash cow and leaving them behind when their going gets bad...? It speaks volumes about the people themselves.

Lady Gaga is a product and she considers herself to be a product. She markets herself in certain ways to attract attention, she's had surgery to change the way her face looks, she changes her clothes at the drop of a hat to try and keep people interested, she has released products in her name that are totally irrelevant to her music. Not to mention that she has been in bed with Versace for the better part of a year.

The reality is that this is what executives generally think of the people they sign.

No. "Pop star" like the rest, in that she is relied upon to sell and some people aren't confident in the product she is putting out, does not equal "puppet". "Puppet" is twisting it to make it seem like all her music, image, etc. is put out there by other people, and while certainly no pop star is entirely self-made, that's just not true.

And monsters are obviously sensitive about Akon talking like that but i doubt most of you would be thrilled to hear someone who worked with one of your faves say the same; no matter how true it is. A little courtesy and respect goes a long way. Even boom kack gave a classy response when asked about gaga as a dancer POST-working with her and I'm sure she had plenty to drag her with.

I'm glad that she's still rich but her relevance has been dwindling since 2011. The only reason why she's still relevant on ATRL is because her decline is real and ppl have been relishing in it (not great, no) but like I said the Monsters acting like victims is just laughable.
