I don't feel like this is a coincidence that he's saying this now. I mean, its very blunt what he's saying, but he quickly snaps back into saying she's like family. I'm almost inclined to think this is part of the promo Like, why now?
Same reason DJWS posted a picture of that homeless guy, who took her money and has now turned on her. Very interesting.....
(I could just be delusional, but it's weird that he chose NOW to say it)

Akon may have started to see a reckless unchecked ego and jumped ship then.
It's clear to many with a business mind that if you surround yourself with only "yes" men, you get a bad product.

He made his investment, took the pay off and left before the business went under. Intelligent.

This. People don't understand how business works. People are all "he was only here for the money", "he treats her like an object".
I work at a privately owned restaurant which earns six figures weekly. The owner pops in once in a while and will tell us to do this and that. He doesn't care who he is talking to. If he tells you to clean the toilet, and you are a cashier, then you must clean the toilet whether you're a bus boy or not. If he wants you to bring food to the customers and you are just a hostess, you must do this. Because at the end of the day, he knows how the business runs, and to him, we human beings are objects to him. He looks at us as expenses.
Same with Akon and GaGa. She was just an expense. He decided not to invest anymore when he saw the decline.

Are you serious? They are in the entertainment industry. It's cut throat. If you're sensitive and you're going to use the "WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS" excuse, maybe you should reconsider your career path.
Yes you are a human being, but if you're in an industry where you make millions of dollars each year, you better get ready to be an expense.
My friend is a high fashion model, signed with Elmer Olsen, and even he says that he is an object. He told me that literally he gets thrown to a makeup station, then thrown to outfit station, then thrown to the cat walk, repeat from the beginning, leaves the fashion show, gets thrown into a cab straight to the airport, sleeps x hours on plane and is getting ready for the next fashion show in a new country. He doesn't even have to communicate or talk at all because he doesn't need to. But at the end of the day, he is making thousands of dollars.
Also, if you are in the public eye, beware of being stalked by crazy obsessive fans, paparazzis, and all sorts of type of madness. I can guarantee you, if you have 100 people chasing you, and you say "IM A HUMAN BEING", that will not stop them. At all.

All excuses for why the entertainment industry is the way it is. Doesn't make it right.

is this what has come down to her surroundings? people saying they "cashed out" like she's some sort of pawn? no wonder she's been going on about everyone abandoning her if she can't perform or get high enough sales. so sad.

What are you going to do about it? Whine and complain on ATRL? And when the time comes, let's see you put your money where your "noble intentions" are. I highly doubt you'd throw it down the drain on a bad investment.
I am seriously starting to think Gaga's demographic is composed of spoiled brats who have never had any real struggles in life. That's why they sweat criticism so much and have this twisted sense of the world.
Gaga, good luck maintaining your level of fame catering to this narrow demographic.

Stop acting as if she is some poor artistic good girl that everyone used. As if she didn't do the same thing to other people.
He did a good business move, it's like with stocks, you sell them at their highest point and get the money. And he did it after BTW after she started losing the steam. An he was right, artpop was even bigger decline.
I can only apploude him cause i always thought of him as a stupid guy. Obviously, he's not (that much).

I stan for GaGa, don't get me wrong, but I will never be a delusional stan. If the artist I stan for is a flop, or declining, I'm not afraid to admit that, especially when it is apparent. It also doesn't matter to me because as long as they make music that I can still listen to, I'm fine with it. Right now she is declining but at the moment she doesn't show any signs of discontinuing her music career.
