I used to be a part of a Mario Kart Wii community yeaaarrs ago. It was pretty competitive too. I competed in clans and stuff, and basically, 90% of the racers were funky kong of course. I stayed slaying with KING Boo tho
. VR never really matters on that side of the game tbh. There are plenty of people there who have like 9k+ VR and are still easy to beat
. I like to just focus on actual racing skills and VR eventually will come
I can't wait until MK8 though, I'll definitely suck again and it'll be fun to have a new start. (and some people in the competitive side take things WAY too seriously. in a clan war before, this person cried and screamed because he got blued

I was too lazy to but mine was pretty good.
That's what caused me to lose a lot of points on MKW. I don't find it as bad on Mario Kart 7 though. And I mostly play Balloon Battle/Coin Runners to rack up VR points anyway.
