I think she likes the song, I just think she didn't like being forced to change it from what she originally wanted. Had they let her do her thing with Venus, she probably wouldn't be harping down on DWUW like she is.

If she still performs 'Telephone' then she'll still perform 'DWUW'. They're similar in the sense that it's not the song she doesn't like, rather what happened during the creation process. With 'Telephone', Gaga had a hard time getting the song back from Britney's camp and they made it into a mess that she doesn't like to remember. With 'DWUW', she lost Troy. I think she'll still perform it, but maybe the Xtina version as opposed to the R. Kelly one.

GUY I think she took as an opportunity to restate how she's now in control, through that control being mentioned in the song via a relationship. She changed it to mean control of her career again.

Not going to lie, I often thought she was the problem and didn't believe her "it's the label" stories. Turns out I was wrong. We were wrong. She really did prove to us all that she has what it takes. Imagine what she could do if she went and made her own sub-label under Interscope, which I think is her plan.

To expand on this...

She still has a hugely-dedicated fanbase. Having the "general public" is great for what happens now in terms of chart success, but the hugely-dedicated fanbases are what will still be around twenty years from now. Gaga's not going anywhere any time soon.

Lol I post on neoGAF and the thread about G.U.Y. there was abysmal. They hated it. Thankfully that is the only place I've seen such a negative reaction. My non-stan friends love the song and I even got three snaps about the video.
