I remember it vividly, and it's strange for a pop song to do that, but clearly the heavy Akon association helped in that respect. There was also a remix of the song that a lot of the stations were playing.

It's kinda funny how defansive people get just cuz' he is saying what most of us actually think.

Since TFM she kinda gone down hill and you may say he's objectifying her but it's a simple way to say what he's trying to say which is - he got involved with her as a project, he helped her as an upcoming artist and got the money for it so when it seems for him that she's peaking plus the fact he couldn't contribute to her as an artist anymore he "cashed out".

I remember. And then can the kardinal official remix or whatever his name is. But while I do think his association helped as well, I don't think it's as big of a deal though. Akon's contribution to her song was minimal and I'm glad he made what he could while it lasted for him. Although something tells me that him and Vince are no longer buddies which is why the association ended.

It actaully almost peaked at R&B radios before it really started steaming on Pop radios.
