G.U.Y. is really the most GP-friendly song since Alejandro, I feel. Definitely a return to form. It deserves to smash so badly.
YES YES YES so much to this. G.U.Y is made from the same formula what took her to the top of the world. Catchy, fizzy electronic pop imbued with darker, deceptively complex subject matter.
DWUW was not Gaga-esque. It was too off putting for some people I think. TEOG was GP-friendly but not in the same vein as G.U.Y. G.U.Y. just has that certain Gaga edge that people have been missing. TEOG didn't necessarily have that edge. Neither did Applause

lol nah, DWUW was the hit that got away (even though it was actually pretty big)
with a video and just a little more promo it would have been top 10 easily
so annoying

The song and the video are both incredible, it seems like Gaga is back with full force! Hope the single does well
