If the song was destined to do well, it would be doing so regardless of an adds date (which some songs never even get one and still are able to go number one on pop).

I don't understand why people who clearly know nothing about radio are even in here spreading misleading information. There's no hard and fast rule for adds dates being important or not, but anyone with a brain can see that it will be important for gaga, whose last song burned out ages ago on radio. It's all about momentum, which she doesn't have right now. As long as she keeps constant or increasing updates in the next days, we can say that she's doing okay for now. To say anything more than that, we'll just have to wait.
