I would say it’s quite different. As young as I still am I’m not thirteen. I feel like I’m turning into a young woman and I’ve experienced a lot in the past four years. I’m writing pretty much everything on this album, co-writing, producing, being completely centered in the creative process. I wouldn’t have it any other way so I’m putting my experiences and my thoughts on paper and I’m able to do something that I think my fans will love
I am a fan of the Jojo. That's one soulful girl. I actually fell in love with her music when I heard her cover of "Weak." I would have given anything for that to have been released as a single.
I love JoJo. Her albums were great. The High Road was one of 2006's best albums. And she hasn't flopped.
JoJo sold 1,500,000 in the US and peaked at #4. The High Road sold around 1,000,000 and peaked at #3.
JoJo spawned "Leave (Get Out)", "Baby It's You (Remix) (feat. Bow Wow)", and "Not That Kinda Girl".
"Leave (Get Out)" peaked at #12 in the US (and was #1 in Top 40 Mainstream)
"Baby It's You (Remix) (feat. Bow Wow)" peaked at #22. It also peaked at #7 in Top 40 Mainstream.
"Not That Kinda Girl" flopped hard.
The High Road spawned "Too Little Too Late", "How to Touch a Girl", and "Anything".
"Too Little Too Late" peaked at #3 in the US and #2 in Top 40 Mainstream and #2 in Hot Digital Songs.
"How to Touch a Girl" peaked at #104 in the US.
"Anything" did not chart in the US, but it did peak at #38 in the Top 40 Mainstream.
All in all, I wouldn't really call JoJo's material a flop. She's still done very well. Her new album is probably going to be her best and will be the most successful.
