Justin Timberlake Tops Hot Tours with $23.6 Million, Beyonce Trails with $5.5 Million
Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience World Tour tops the weekly list of Hot Tours based on $23.6 million in ticket sales from the final performances of the tour’s opening leg. The trek covered North American markets from Nov. 6 through March 5, wrapping in Miami. Venues in Chicago, New York City and Toronto hosted the pop star for two-show stints during the final month of the opening run. All three of the venues reported more than $3 million in revenue, but Chicago’s United Center had the highest gross with $3.7 million from concerts on Feb. 16 and 17.
From the opening show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center through the North American leg’s final stop at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, the tour’s ticket sales surpassed $70.7 million. Timberlake performed 38 sold out concerts during the initial jaunt. Next on the schedule is a 19-city stretch through 11 European countries kicking off on March 30 in England. Concerts are booked in Asia and Africa during May, and a second jaunt through the U.S. and Canada will begin in July. More European dates and a run through Australia and New Zealand are on tap later this year.
