IT'S STRATEGIC.
They pulled the crossover reversal. Most urban/rock/country etc. songs that have appeal will begin its run on pop after going #1 on their main format.
Dark horse did the opposite. #1 on pop now send it to urban
This way, they are securing her #1 status as #1 song from a female in 2014.
Lorde nor Beyonce will be able to overtake it.
