I've become a new stan (as of two weeks ago), mostly due to accidentally coming across her songs from American Life . I mean, my mum was really into her 80s eras and so I was exposed to her work through that, but I never really thought over her stuff until now. Sad it didn't smash, as only the title track and Hollywood seemed like "political manifestos" (however, I like those songs too). It seemed to be a darker, much more bitter version of ROL with more therapeutic and anger-releasing; it was quite revealing.

Thanks for the warm welcome, all of you.
I love Madge when she gets all contemplative and spiteful...with a dance beat. American Life has that in spades, as well as "Human Nature". (Teat-baring in concert and all.)

As for Hard Candy. I like the Pharrell portion of the album (his boom-badda-boom-boom-badda-boom beat is quite infectious). Also, how can we forget her scalping any of Sean and Guy's new heauxs with "She's Not Me".

5th most iconic 2012 member then, 4th when Swag is banned (most of the time).
