Eh... not really. They contribute enough in the writing process that it doesn't feel like they're covering someone else's song. It's a pretty collaborative effort between them and the writers they work with.
How much do the guys contribute to the lyrics and musical composition of their songs?
Do they come up with lyrics, melodies, harmonies, hooks, riffs, and chord progressions?
Or do they just partake in the instrumentation and arrangement in the final product?
That list was first released a month or two ago. There was a thread.
Anyways. Looking at their schedule it seems like 1D are not going to hit Asia at all this year with their tour, nor Australia. Shame they didn't start a month earlier.

i kno Harry was very instrumental in the writing of Happily & Something Great
& he also has a solo song that leaked that is absolutely incredible as well
he also has written at least a dozen other songs that have never been leaked/released yet & he also wrote a song with John Legend & another song with the band Kodaline recently
so i would say he contributes greatly to the songs he writes
