People forget she released 8 singles because every previous single was a hit and all of them were multi-platinum, 70% of her album were multi-platinum hits and she still sold 6m albums.
That's even more impressive, even though people already had most of the album they went and bought the non single tracks.
If it was just any album then I'd say it's a respectable amount, but Katy had so much promo and so many singles released that the final sales total doesn't impress me at all. I mean Bruno's debut album outsold this with less than half the singles.
You could always go to every music store around the globe and check the receipts for every copy sold of TD. Until then, Mediatraffic/Musicharts are the only reliable source we have.
