I don't think she changed her mind mid-shoot. My understanding was that there was conflict between Gaga/Joseph/Laurieann over creative control (he tweeted that he "didn't co-direct"...who that was directed at, we don't know), resulting in Joseph walking and presumably Gaga firing Laurieann. That left her having to improvise on the studio lot.

Yep, that's how I understood it.

I'm impressed with her - as boring as TEOG might have been, it was still a beautiful video and great for last minute improv.

It's very HQ, lacks some things from the demo and adds guitars/violins. I don't know if it is 100% real because someone could have made up from the demo we got, but it surprisingly accurate.
