I think the issue was that after the initial shock factor people were okay because it wasn't really blood. But with the vomit, even when you learn it's not acidic vomit it's still coming out of someone elses stomach and it's gross to watch.
The other thing I think is that people are used to well choreographed, and stellar theatric performances from Gaga. Really though her roots are not that at all. And she's always been a wild child on stage.
