Also, I don't get the hate for 20 Y.O. She tried something different with some hard hitting hip hop production, but it's not a bad album. Discipline definitely sounded more like a Janet album, but 20 Y.O. had some great bops and hidden gems. L2L, TC, GIOM, TB, RWU, and Enjoy were pretty damn good.
With this long away from music, I'm hoping for something unexpected and fresh. I doubt she'll shy away from her rnb roots, but Janet has never been a one trick pony. I'm soooooooooooo ****ing excited to hear what she's been recording. Because we know her harmonies will **** to the high heavens..
In short, nobody hates any song on 20 Y.O. with the possible exception of a couple. Furthermore, despite all the crap songs on Discipline, they like to pretend it's better because it had some radio friendly songs and a #19 hit. 
So I'm sure Janet definitely penned majority of this album. But I think she had some people send songs to her. I remember Marsha Ambrosius tweeting she was sending Janet a song she wrote & she sounded excited. (She wrote MJ's butterflies btw) . But who knows it might not make the album.
