I don't think she had a low level of work for Burlesque. It seems like she really gave it her all. I remember she said she didn't consider herself a dancer before that movie, which was shocking since she had done a lot of very competent dancing before that. And of course she mentally gave her all, which caused her to question her life and marriage.
I think for her, it's always been more about projects of passion. She'd rather spend time with her son and family than do things she doesn't want to do and play "the game" of the industry. Even for Burlesque, she didn't really want to do it at first until they added those Etta James songs in for her to do and I got Cher on board I believe.

That would be nice, but I doubt it will happen. They really could have pulled a Lana Del Rey and done that with the Maison & Dragos Remix of Let There Be Love (which is the only remix of the Let There Be Love that doesn't sound too different from the original, but still has the latest EDM style) and the Martin Garrix remix of Your Body.
I think one of the problems with Your Body was that it was trying to be a dance song, but it was set up almost like an R&B song with R&B tempo. But that remix takes care of that problem. And look at how big Martin Garrix is now with Animals. As usual, Christina ahead of her time
Fighter is definitely one of them though. And Keep On Singin' My Song, I feel that it is really underrated 
Damn, it's a shame she doesn't care anymore.. I would love to see her in another movie. Burlesque wasn't great, but she's a really decent actress with a lot of potential.
