Troy thought the APP was the way to go because it was so "revolutionary". And well, look where we're at. After Beyonce dropped and the visual album worked, Interscope gave Gaga the support she needed and permission to go ahead and film a bunch of stuff for future singles/projects/videos. That's what she's doing now. She's doing what she wanted to all along. She literally had to restart everything, and that's going to take some time to put together.
And what does Alejandro have to do with anything? Alejandro was edited by a so-called "professional" like so many of you cry about took and no time to put together. And she's not just editing one video like Alejandro, she's editing several, which takes time.

Telephone conflicts me. It is a music video and I hate the breaks in the videos filled with dialog which irritate me!
And I'll take a pretty video over a choppy directed cheesy storyline video. Just because she has a storyline in her video doesn't mean it is a good story. That's the issue with Gaga. It is the same problem with ARTPOP. She thought she could just throw in the word art without actually applying the concept. Same with MTN - just because the video is 20 min long doesn't mean it has worthy "substance."
The video isn't bad. I claimed it was better than BR when it debuted, but that dust has settled....but MTN is better than Judas, YAI, and the other thing
