Lars Timmermans: Assumptions and expectations, that's all it is. Whoever said she is praying in this exact picture? She's talking about having said a prayer for her friend today. Today. Not the very moment this picture was taken, but still, some of you want to assume that and try to bring her down. Money and fame has not changed her. The fact that she'll never be "good enough" for some people, has changed the degree to which she cares. She has already performed at the Tokyo Dome and Madison Square Garden. She has already had numerous number one singles and albums. She has already been on every TV program ever and has already proven how her five octave vocal range works. She's married to the love of her life (who lots of you also love to hate on), has two cute kids and has nothing left to prove so she's allowed to have fun all she wants. Don't judge, hate or be jealous. If she's not good enough for you the way she is, then please do us all a favor and unlike her page, because you do not understand the essence of who Mariah Carey is. Through her music she has always tought everyone to be hopeful (Through The Rain), positive (Make It Happen), humble (I Am Free), courageous (Hero), honest (Butterfly), strong (Can't Take That Away) and determined (Almost Home). You may talk about her "****" and how this picture is "not classy", but speaking of class, how classy is it to publicly bash someone you don't even know? Not that Mariah cares. She already knew better in October of 1995; "Never never listen to anyone, when they try to discourage you. Because they do that. Believe me." The fact that YOU think she's not being sincere, is not HER problem. The fact that YOU think she shouldn't show cleavage, is not HER problem. The fact that YOU expect her to sing like she did in 1994 when she was 24 and in her prime, is not HER problem. The fact YOU don't want her to be "hiphop" and have rappers on her record is not HER problem. They are your expectations, not hers. I personally think she's doing a wonderful job, and we should be happy that she's still out there and making music when she could be just enjoying a piņa colada on a tropic island. Her life is different now. Who knows, maybe even better. Accept it, and yours will be better too. Thank you Mariah, for all your years of dedicated hard work, and for being a wonderful spirit. Thank you for showing us that it's not hate that prevails, but love
