The lowdown: Maybe the most nakedly emotional track on Bangerz, “Drive” finds Miley in the middle of a crumbling relationship, realizing as the pieces fall down around her. She is weary and heartbroken, enraged yet forgiving, unable to stay with a man who won’t fully commit to her but unwilling to leave him behind. Over a spare, humming electro beat, she gives him a final hopeless ultimatum, knowing full well they’re past the point of no return.
