The desperation to change the topic when they know they lost
Everybody needs to shut up about Poker Face. Yes, it was a massive hit at the time, but nobody listens to it anymore. Lady Gaga's whole career has been feeding off the success of that song, but it was 5 years ago, I don't think she can get much more out of it.
It's the same as 50 Cent. His whole career was living off the success of In Da Club, but there comes a time where you can't just live off that one hit anymore, no matter how massive it was.
