Them struggling to discredit my receipts in the OP and then giving me Naughty Girl as a receipt for Bey doing Arabic music is just pure KI

I was acknowledging a post from the previous page. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm allowed to do that.

The Hive really needs to stop trying to act like Beyonce's image this era is less or equally as sexual as she's been in the past. Y'all sound dumb. Regardless of sexual songs she's done in the past (Baby Boy, Green Light, Dance For You, take your pick) Beyonce has NEVER been as explicit as she was on this album. Nor have her lead singles and most popular album songs been so sexual.
Sure, the album may have a diverse range of topics, but please tell me what the Hive/pop music enthusiasts/casual fans/critics/the GP have focused on the most? Tell me what songs have been talked about the most? Tell me what themes most people think about when this album is brought up?
Despite collaborating with popular artists such as Drake and Frank Ocean, despite the release strategy, despite her vocals, despite her family-friendly image, people are mostly focused on Beyonce's moans and sexual pleas. #Surfboardt has become synonymous with this era for ****'s sake. No one seems to care about her cynicism towards the music industry, the emotional relationship she has with her husband, her thoughts on motherhood, or her reflections about death. Instead everyone's talking about how hot she looks in her videos, her getting Monica Lewinsky'd, or how shocked they are by this sudden image change.
You are DELUSIONAL if you think that people care about the whole picture. Beyonce's sexual side was showcased on this album and it's all anyone really cares about. Her blatant sexuality is the centerpiece. It may suck to see your fave labeled in ways you disagree with or to see people form opinions based on one element of your fave's music, but too bad. You all have done the same thing to countless artists in the past, including Rihanna.
It must hurt to see your fave do everything you claimed they were above. To have to suddenly change your opinions on female sexuality and using one's personal life in their music literally over night... Poor Hive. Praying for hot 100 success now that she's lost her classy image and reputation for amazing performances. Sad.

I never said that the music wasn't good, nor did I say that her sales suffered. But in the aftermath of thee surprise release you can't tell me that people haven't viewed her in a different way. Don't act like her Grammy performance didn't shock people, don't act like the GP didn't see Beyonce in a different light. I mean come on

But, Beyonce ACTUALLY does better with her albums and tours, surly that's not only African-Americans that got her tour $200M and her recent album to 1 million in copies ww 5 days, something Rihanna hasn't done. Her headline huge events around the world. Or bag bigger and better endorsements. I mean.

All I see is you going on a rant about her being sexual. Are you upset she can come off incredibly raunch and still be praised while your fave is skulldragged and shaded subliminally on Twitter by all the rapper she collaborates with?
|
All the rappers? When has Kanye ever dragged her? Or Wale? Or Jay Z, TI, Rick Ross, and Eminem??? Chris Brown has proven himself to be a piece of **** and Drake only shaded her because she hurt his feelings by not wanting to be with him.

Bey just can't catch a breathe, she's everywhere, even navy can't get enough of her! I bet she is their biggest "guilty/sinful" pleasure. But that's ok, cause bey is an icon, the most loved, respected and acclaimed popular artist.
Yes, riri is diverse, as much as her record label wants her to be. Good for her. I guess. She can't sell albums so she makes "different" music to appeal everyone. And that's ok, let's just not elevate her to something she is not.

Her last 3 albums sound the same with her last one having slightly more Urban influences. Haven't really listened to Rated R or her first 2 albums. GGGB was great but nothing really special. I guess I'd say no.

People have been getting on Beyonce about her being sexual since Destiny's Child. So please.

Girl what? I was just addressing the Hive in here that tried to claim that her music this era isn't different than what she's done in the past. A few music videos does not equal the image that she displays to the GP. Y'all can make all the jokes you want but my point still stands. She has never been this consistently and overtly sexual but hey, drag I guess
