Katy and Rihanna have extremely busy schedules that makes it hard for them to even see each other once a year, let alone make a song together with a video. They'll do it when the times is right.

You don't even realize how contradictory you're being. You're dismissing all of the genres Rihanna has "dipped into" and trying to make it seem like she hasn't done everything you just mentioned.

Chasing trends and having a diverse musical catalogue are not mutually exclusive Pop music is just popular music so by definition the trend of what is "pop" will always change. Whereas R&B is basically still R&B.
