Too many responses so I'll just post all my replies in one comment!
Ichi, I don't know where the image is from. I took your image and dragged it into the Google Images search bar and they find similar images for you, that's how I came across the one I posted.
Feelslikeadream, I agree with you, but I'm not crazy about "Young & Beautiful". I think it's overrated. Just my personal opinion. But Lana is still really talented. I like her version of "Once Upon a Dream" a lot. It's really good.
Denyy, I think the problem with "Happy" is it's not really known for being affiliated with Despicable Me 2. And I really don't like the song, I think it's overrated and annoying, although I don't mind Pharrell. But I loved Frozen and think the film deserves the awards its nominated for, and therefore I really am hoping "Let It Go" gets it. It's a phenomenal song and Idina and Demi both SLAYED their versions of it. Vocally and lyrically I think it's better and more fitting for the film it was intended for than "Happy".

AA: well, I obviously don't agree, but who cares. I don't care about Best Song winner that much, I watch the Oscars for the best picture/screenplay/acting categories.
Btw, here's where the Oprah gif is from:

We wish we could tell you... Don't worry tho, you're not the only one desperate for new music by her.

Right! I'm not that big of a fan of "Happy", but still... That's your personal opinion and I respect that! The Oscars bored the hell out of me last year. Seth MacFarlane was not a good host and I don't follow film the way I do music, plus there's a lot more irrelevant works submitted that still have their award presentation televised even though no one has seen the movie before. Once Adele performed and won, I turned it off last year. This year, though, Ellen is hosting and Idina Menzel and P!nk are both performing, so it may be better (hosting-wise; P!nk was the next best thing after Adele, though).

I was really looking forward to Seth, I love his sense of humour but the truth is that he wasn't that good at the Oscars. I laughed a few times, but he can do much better.
I actually love that they broadcast all the categories. Like, somebody just won a freaking Oscar, so give them a moment to shine - and it doesn't matter if it was for Best Actress or Best Cinematography.
I'm a huge movie freak tho, I always watch all the nominated movies in the main categories (or movies that have at least 2 noms), so it's different for me, because the Oscars are my favourite awards.
As you said, this year's host and performers should be great, however the movies aren't that exciting this year. So for me it'll probably end up similar to last year.

I felt the exact same way. Seth is funny, but he was not good at the Oscars at all. And I do agree with you. And if you think about it, there aren't as many awards to give out at the Oscars as there are for the Grammys. And for people who enjoy movies more than music, the Oscars are obviously more entertaining than the Grammys. The host and the performers this year will be great, but the movies really aren't that exciting. I agree with that. It'll probably be about the same. There weren't that many great films this year.

Oh, and BTW, does anyone know where I can find an image of Adele's US Vogue cover without any text on it? Basically, I just need the image used for the cover. Thanks!

I'm very happy to say that today is Ke$ha's 27th birthday! She's currently in rehab for her eating disorder, Bulimia, and she entered rehab in January. She's expected to be released next month and she's trying really hard to stay strong and fix her problem and she's actually currently doing better! I don't know if any of you care, but I'm proud to say that I am an Animal supporting Ke$ha!

I don't think it's out there. I've tried looking for it recently and couldn't find it.

Really? That stinks! The image of her UK Vogue cover without the text is out there, so that's kind of disappointing. Thanks for telling me, though, so I don't go on a wild goose chase looking for it!

There were some really good movies, but none made me go "Wow! This has to win" if you know what I mean... Last year I was obsessed with Argo and Django, this year is just weird. Oh and if American Hustle snatches any of the big awards, I will lose it. Such a boring overrated film.
Anyway, can't wait to see P!nk performing. Hopefully she will perform some kick-ass song.

I totally understand what you're saying. There were a few good ones, but there weren't a whole lot that really stood out, and the ones that did aren't even up for that many awards. And I can't wait to see P!nk perform either, I'm anxious to see what she'll perform. My mom thought she might do "Lady Marmalade" because it was her first number-one song and it was from a movie, but I don't think she will because she did it with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, and Mưa, none of which are supposed to be there. She could do "Bridge of Light" from Happy Feet 2. I don't know. She'll probably do something like "Try" or "Glitter in the Air", a song from a movie, a cover song, or a new song, although I doubt she'll do a new song.

So someone made an interesting comment about adele's lvie performance at the artists den. They said its the beginning of her PR to put her name back out there for her next album XD.... but they said holiday album in 2014 They don't seem to have any ties to an inside source though so meh but it could be a move to push her name out there again

They play it every few months and the channel's not really that big here.
He must think this is the first time it's been played since it aired or something and is thinking it's PR.
