Really? I don't think you're ever required to double bomb jump, it's only used for expansions iirc

It was I couldn't see the other hole because of the camera/me not checking the map. An extra energy pack is nice though.

Is there a need to get a lot of missle boosts if I'm not going for 100%? I have 30 right now and I don't see the point since refills happen so often

omg, I know exactly which one you mean. I never got that one, I couldn't get it down properly

And no to missiles. You'll almost definitely come across enough expansions regularly. No need to go out of your way.
