Hi! So, I had an idea for a rate today: Sophomore Success Stories. A lot of popular artists have a difficult second era, and often you will see popular artists have a decline in music quality and success compared to their first albums! In the 2010s, there have been a bunch of stand out sophomore pop albums that have had incredible success, both album-wise and single-wise. So, in this rate, I would have five or six of these albums go head to head.
This rate would definitely include Halcyon by Ellie Goulding and Teenage Dream by Katy Perry.
Other albums that popped into my head are: Adele's 21, One Direction's Take Me Home, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox, and either The Fame Monster/Born This Way -- which one do you all consider her sophomore effort?
