The lowdown: Over cascading synths, Katy begs her lover to forget the past and future and just live with her in the now. It might have worked on John Mayer, but voters were not feeling this YOLO anthem. Plagued by cliche sentiments and the lack of anything resembling a memorable hook, “This Moment” becomes the first track eliminated from Prism.
ATRL says...: "It sounds like Katy put every ounce of effort into singing the 'who' in the opening lyric 'can you tell me, who called the race?' and didn't try to do anything redeemable with her vocals for the other three minutes," wrote August.
Best bit: "Do you ever think that, we're just chasing our tails?/Like life is one big, fast treadmill" (Is this the new plastic bag?!)
