All that said, I don't know how right it is for you. Your voice and singing style is very theatrical, not soulful. That's not a bad thing though. I love your voice!

I don't know why I've just never connected with the genre of music

I sorta like Beyonce and I admire her greatly but I'd never go buy her album or even listen to her music at all minus the occasional single

The problem is, that Beyoncé song isn't even R&B. It's definitely Pop/Rock with an R&B beat and vocals.

She's the one exception and its a bit outdated because she isn't really anymore but when I was growing up she helped me a lot. My favourite artists are Kelly Clarkson and Ashley Monroe (the country singer in my avi)
