I think Bangerz is our generation's Stripped. Both are incredibly desperate to show the world they aren't the teen star the world first discovered them as. Also, they love to shove down everyone's throats how much Madonna has influenced them. I think both albums also have a lot of similarites.

Erotica is in my opinion one of the main reasons Madonna is considered the best female artist of all time. She took an enormous and potentially career-destroying risk to push the envelope not only musically but also socially. I'm sure she knew that despite all the hate during the release she'd be enormously praised for it someday in the future.
