Most soul/blues singers go in and out of tune on purpose. It's not "out of tune" in the traditional sense that her voice sounds bad or anything.

It's not supposed to be a knock that she doesn't have an amazing voice, unless that's what the OP was referring to.

I think the OP is saying what you're saying but what specifically is this going "out" of tune thing is? Adele is quite consistent with her live performances compared to her studio version so I don't see what is so "out" of tune even if its not meant to be a bad thing. Adele's past performances literally sound the same or better than her studio versions so I guess this "extra" factor is what you may be referring to but I think saying "out" of tune is a horrible way to put it.

It's all about the emotion and feeling of a performance. Whereas for other singers, it's just about going out there and hitting a song note for note.

Earlier today, I realized something. I think Kesha is those type of singers where when you first hear her music on the radio, you may not like her but once you look more into her music, you realize she has some amazing songs that sadly don't get played on the radio. That was my case and I think it was AdeleAddict's case as well.

She's still contemporary pop, but with blues influences.

YES. For the most part, her singles are amazing, but they're not even her best songs. She has some really emotional ones like "Wonderland" and "The Harold Song" and she has the flawless "Only Wanna Dance With You", and my personal favorite "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes". The Daydreamers might like some of her songs like "Wonderland", it's nothing like typical Ke$ha music, it's primarily piano and vocal with some guitar and drums. It's a slow ballad. It's SO good. I'm really glad my friend exposed me to Ke$ha's flawless music, although I still think I did better 'cause I exposed her to Adele.

DWTIME is my second most played song on her debut, following the masterpiece that is Blind. And The Harold Song is my #1 most played K$ song. What good taste we have!

Yes, we do! "Blind" is another one of my favorite Ke$ha songs! Her partying songs are amazing, but I love her heartfelt and emotional ballads, too. "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes", "Blind", and "The Harold Song" are three of her best songs ever.
