Okay so my reactions for BTS' mini as I listen to it.
01. "Intro : Skool Luv Affair"; I love how it picks up right where the last mini left off.
~I just wanna love ya~.
But wait at how the intro is doing a bunch of different things here. It's like a few different intros in one! Definitely a great way to open the album.
02. "상남자 (Boy in Luv)"; we've already heard this one so I don't have much to say. The pre-chorus is probably the best bit and I still think this BTS doing their best BAP impersonation. Not that I disliked it from first listen but it's already growing on me.
03. "Skit : Soulmate"; I used to dislike these skits because I just wanted music but the more I've gotten into BTS, the more I've enjoyed just hearing them talk amongst each other. Not that I know what they're saying but still I find it entertaining.
04. "어디에서 왔는지"; My least favourite so far, although the bridge saved it a bit. I think this is a grower but right now I'm just not quite feeling it compared to the other tracks beforehand. I've always liked their voices too, even though their primary focus is rap they can definitely pull out those vocals when needed.
05. "하루만"; I loved this from the day it was uploaded onto their official site and I still love it. It's basically what the track before this tried to be. The chorus is everything, makes me feel warm and fuzzy. The backing vocals in this song are awesome too. Just overall it's wonderful.
06. "Tomorrow"; wait this intro is b0pping! This track didn't turn out to be what I expected it to be, but again it's a better version of track #4. That distorted pre-chorus is a little messy but I love the rest of the production and the post-chorus is awesome. Oh, now we have guitars in the bridge! This song will be a grower but it's already nice.
07. "BTS Cypher PT.2 : Triptych"; the opening verse is so cool. But wait what is this switch up? I don't know what he's saying but he better go in.
Is this whole song Rap Monster? Holy **** this is epic. The next switch up.
And now another one.

08. "등골브레이커"; now while I try and regroup from what I just listened to before, I must say this is pretty cool too. I feel this song is trying to be a b0p but really it's just a cool down song from track #7. I will use it as such, the
la la la segment is catchy tho.
09. "Jump"; here we go. The moment I've been waiting for. It's already a b0p.
Of course the verses are great but again, the pre-chorus is shining. So is the chorus. Sometimes you have those songs that excel in one of the two but this is not one - it excels with both! The synths and reverb drums in the bridge, yas.
Now the ending omfg. Can I unleash my monster 'yaaaass' now? That was great, I love it.
10. "Outro : Propose"; well this is cute. Not much else.
This is potentially their best work (better than
2 Cool 4 Skool,
maybe better than
O!RUL8,2?) but I can't really compare it right now since I've just listened once. One thing is for sure though, best mini of 2014 has just been released.
