Andrew Lincon revealed in an interview not long ago the BEST part about this second half of the season is the Carol-Daryl arc that will develop.

Here's his exact quote:

After the events of the mid-season finale, it was needed for an entire episode. And I was just annoyed because people seem to just want non-stop action, and complain about the slower moments all the time.
