But subjectively? Zayn, Harry, and Louis are the most important vocally imo. Liam doesn't add much and Niall is just so-so. Zayn can carry most of their songs, Harry has the nicest tone, and Louis has a really unique sweet tone.
I think Louis' importance (vocally) is majorly underrated, and I'm not just saying this because he's my favorite. For example, he totally makes the chorus of One Thing work for me. I specifically notice his presence on the majority of their choruses, actually.

yes liam is vocally talented obviously but he doesnt stand out
which is why he went from having the most vocals on UAN to less on MM
Harrys amazing tone & voice stand out esp when hes belting or when hes doing that beautiful raspy thing he does
& anyone shading his belting during SOML doesnt kno what theyre talking about clearly
Zayn has amazing vocals &those high notes are incredible
Louis' voice is unique & i love when it breaks
he is so underated vocally imo

he has a good voice but its nothing special or unique imo
wheras all the other boys have standout unique vocals where u would kno it was them as soon as u hear them sing Liam just sounds like he mimics Harry & Zayn but doesnt sound as good at all
