Imo it's: Zayn = Liam > Harry > Niall = Louis.
Zayn does the best belts but I feel he sometimes holds back cause he's in a group and not solo (and maybe due to a lack of confidence), but his lower range is the pits
Liam tries but he can't really belt but his lower range is beyond delicious, he never misses a note or sings in a wrong key, that's why he starts most of their songs.
Harry has naturally the best tone but he needs a bit of improving with his technique to be able to match Liam and Zayn, I feel that if he continues singing from his throat he'll be a terrible singer 10 years from now.
Niall and Louis aren't obviously that great, but they do try their best. Niall has improved his vocals from terrible (UAN) to decent (MM). Louis has improved less than Niall but his tone is so unique, he has a pop-punk voice and it sounds great in rock ballads.
I think you're forgetting the groups lead vocalist 
I don't know how so many of you stay with the same avi for so long without getting bored..
