Gaga's ego was what helped her become the mega star she was, but her inability to see the pitfalls of ARTPOP musically and visually is embarrassing. She's lashing out on critics and 'bad fans' when they are the ones she made the album for! They might as well have some say.

But her label intervention probably ruined ARTPOP too. I actually believe ARTPOP's best ideas and concepts were shot down by Interscope and other people.... Which is a shame. Yes, Gaga would be weird, but her music quality probably would have shown evolution. Something is holding her back, and I think it is her little medonsters

Gaga probably got bitter over Capitol records promoting Huncle and spending millions on it even though it was probably Katy's worst idea, that she just gave up. They should just follow her vision at this point, it's not like theirs is working either.

No, it was true back in 2010. It just failed to be so after May 2011. Back when I made the thread I was hoping that spreading it - which got moderate success actually - would convince people to give it a shot out of nostalgia, pity, hope, what have you, but clearly I was too optimistic to see the reality that her fanbase had fractured irreparably two years prior.
