First off, thank you all so much for your kind comments! I really appreciate it and I'm excited to see how enthusiastically everyone has jumped into this rate. This is going to be a blast!

Secondly, sorry for the confusion on the score scale. I copied much of that last paragraph from the fall 2010 rate and I forgot that 0-10 has become the standard. It's probably too late to change it now. I hope this didn't cause any problems!

Third, if you've never participated in a rate before, send them to me by PM. If you post them in the thread, it will spoil the results!

And last, if you feel so inspired to write some commentary for a few tracks (or all of them), I will also gladly accept. It seems like that could be a really fun element to include with such a high-participation, high-passion rate like this one.

Her "bops" have no replay value though... out of all the album, Britney is the only one that I couldn't give a 10 or a 9

ARTPOP is completely hit or miss for me. Some songs should have been just left out entirely, some should have been changed in terms of vocals or a lyric here or there. SD, Manicure, and ARTPOP should have had smooth vocals instead of that robotic mess, Aura's first verse should have been kept with the aggressive vocals and most of the lyrics should have been changed MJH, J&D, Dope

Venus and SD choruses are great imo. and the ARTPOP chorus isnt amazing but it doesnt ruin the song by any stretch

The thing is, Katy delivered some really stellar tracks on Prism (the first half of the album). Although the second half is admittedly lackluster, I prefer it over Britney Jean simply because there's only one or two standouts on that album.
